WHY JOIN US

We’re open most days during May half term and the school summer holidays – as well as every weekend (river flow dependent) between the end of April and end of September. It’s an unbeatable and affordable way to entertain the kids over the long summer break.

Once you have joined the club we offer free use of club dinghies (row boats), Canadian canoes, sit-on kayaks and stand up paddle (SUP) boards. Or bring your own non-motorised craft down to launch from the club.

No experience on the river? Not to worry, we offer our members a great range of courses for both adults and children. Please see the individual boating sections on the website for course details.

Those more experienced on the water can use our closed cockpit kayaks or join our ‘Fine Boat’ section for use of our skiffs, punts and eights. We also offer junior and adult kayak and Fine Boat courses from complete beginners for those wanting to learn a new skill, to improvers for those with an eye on a trophy at Wargrave and Shiplake Regatta in August or our own members-only Rag Regatta in July.

And when you want a break from the water, light up the gas BBQ for a riverside cookout or get competitive at table football. Our fully-equipped, free to use kitchen is stocked with a selection of complimentary hot and cold drinks, plus we have changing rooms, toilets and hot showers.

Please refer to the WBC policies for age, experience level and other restrictions for individual craft, for when buoyancy aids/life-jackets are required and for club rules and guidelines.

When does the fun start?

We’re kicking off our 2024 season on Saturday 27th April with an open afternoon from 2-6pm. Come and see what we have to offer for all the family.

See you by the river!
